Leavenworth High School Bulletin for Saturday, April 18, 2026
Prom Attention Juniors and Seniors planning to bring a guest to Prom! If your date does not attend Leavenworth High School, you must complete an Out-of-School Date Form. All forms are due to the main office by Wednesday, April 29th. Guests will not be allowed into Prom without prior approval. Prom will take place on Saturday, May 2nd from 7:00 to 11:00 PM at J.W. Crancer's. Make sure your guest meets all requirements, completes the form, and brings a valid photo ID. Tickets will be $30 each and they will start being available Monday, April 20th during lunch. They will be available before and after school in my room and during lunch. They'll be able to pay with card ($2 fee included) and in cash. If they pay online, they'll need to stop by my room to pick up their ticket. The last day to pay for tickets will be after school on Thursday, April 30th. Stop by the main office with any questions!
District Art Show The Leavenworth Public Schools Education Foundation Art Show will be held this Friday, April 24th from 5–7 PM in the main gym at Leavenworth High School. Come out and support our students and check out some amazing artwork—admission is free! Following the art show, stick around and support our band at their concert later that evening. We hope to see you there!
Note from Guidance If you are taking Composition I or AP US History next year and would like to take the class for college credit, please go to your grade-level Google Classroom to see the assignment posted on how to complete the enrollment process. The enrollment form and Accuplacer score report or ACT score report are due to your counselor by April 29. Please see your counselor if you have questions or need help.
Seniors - Project Graduation RSVP Attention Class of 2026: Project Graduation is a free, after-graduation celebration hosted by the LHS PTA on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at the Riverfront Community Center. The event includes swimming, food, activities, and prizes for every senior who attends. This is a lock-in style event. Seniors who remain for the full event are eligible for prizes. Students may leave early if needed but will not be allowed to re-enter. Project Graduation is only open to LHS graduating seniors from the Class of 2026. Please complete the Google Form RSVP so PTA can plan accordingly, and for seniors who RSVP you will be given additional tickets for prizes. Library Materials - Seniors Last Day for seniors to check out library materials is Friday April 24. All senior library materials will be due on Friday May 8. Students who need to use materials thru finals should just stop by circulation for a renewal.
Student Council for 2026-27 SY Are you interested in joining Student Council? Do you want to help make decisions in the school and plan events? Stop by Ms Longberg's room 266 to pick up an application! Applications will be due by April 29th by End of School Day.
Attention Pioneers! A new Aviation Club is taking off at LHS! If you're interested in aviation or aeronautics, join us for an informational meeting on Friday, April 24 during Advisory in Room 250. Come learn more about the club, connect with others who share your interests, and explore opportunities in the aviation field. All students are welcome! AP Exams Students who are taking AP tests in May ... Please check your Google classroom and school email for important information about getting ready for the AP tests next month.
Project Planet - Bake Sale Earth Day is April 22. To celebrate, LV Project Planet will host a donation bake sale on Main Street before and after school on Wednesday. Proceeds will be donated to Monarch Watch at the University of Kansas, one of the nation's premier research institutes studying the monarch butterfly migration. Bring your change and your dollars, and help us make a difference for one of Earth's most amazing creatures this Earth Day!
