Athletic Training Attention Students! Are you interested in exploring a career in athletic training? Next semester, our very own athletic trainer, Ron, will be teaching two dual-credit courses right here at LHS: - Care and Prevention of Athletic Injury - First Aid Together, these courses will earn you 5 college credit hours while still in high school! The courses will be taught during 6th period. If you'd like to learn more, stop by the Guidance Office to sign up for a Lunch and Learn with Ron on Tuesday, October 14 in the library classroom. Don't miss this opportunity to get a head start on your future!


Homecoming Dance & Tickets Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the LVHS Big Gym. Theme: Candy Land. Tickets are $20 and on sale now via the QR code on the flyer on grade level google classrooms. Tickets will also be on sale at lunch Monday, 9/29, through Thursday, 10/2, and at the door. You must have your student ID to enter.


PSAT Students who are taking the PSAT on October 15 … You will have a mandatory meeting this Thursday during advisory in the Theater. Bring your charged Chromebook as we have to do a digital preparation for the test.


Lunch Visits this Week Monday, Sept. 29 – Liberty University. Wednesday, Oct. 1 – Washburn University. Thursday, Oct. 2 - Missouri Western. Stop by and speak with a representative during your lunch.


Yearbook Students - if you are dressed up for spirit day today please stop by room 205 between classes to get a quick photo for yearbook.


College & Career Fair Join us on Monday, October 20, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. for our annual College and Career Fair. All students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Representatives will be available from all three E's: Education (colleges and universities), Employment (businesses and apprenticeships), and Enlistment (military branches) Come explore your future!


Kansas Apply Free Days – October 6–8 Seniors can apply to any Kansas college for free during these dates! On Monday, Oct. 6 during Advisory, counselors will host an Application Assistance Session in the Library Classroom. Seniors are encouraged to come apply to college—counselors will be available to assist as needed. Any senior who comes to apply will receive a prize!


French Club Meeting Attention all LHS students, French Club will be meeting Monday morning on October the 7th at 7:00 am in Room 106, Mrs. Dowty's room. Come learn about our upcoming activities for this year and join in with us! À bientôt


Plushie Fundraiser - Graffiti Club The Graffiti club is hosting a fundraiser next week to raise money for our school literary magazine! We'll be taking orders for crochet stuffed plushies, including bees, octopi, sea slugs, & forget-me-not flowers, $11 each. Plushies will be made by order & delivered starting November 7. Find us during lunch next week or speak directly with Mr. Herron before next Friday, October 7.


Homecoming King and Queen Voting Pioneers, voting for Homecoming King and Queen is now open! Be sure to cast your vote and make your voice heard. This year, we've added a special PTV segment to the ballot so you can get to know your candidates better before making your decision. Don't miss this chance to learn more about who's representing your class and help crown this year's royalty! Voting ends at 11:30 on Friday. The Court, and winners, will be announced at the football game during halftime.


Pioneer Athletic Games/Events Policy Student ID's are required for entrance into games/events. Book bags will NOT be permitted at any home athletic events. ✅ Small purses and medical bags will be allowed. ❌ Backpacks and large bags are not permitted. Please note that any small purses and/or medical bags that you bring in may still be subject to a search at an administrator's discretion.
