Battalion Sponsor Are you looking for a way to get involved, represent your school? The Leavenworth High School JROTC Battalion is now accepting applications for Battalion Sponsor! Interviews will be held after school on Wednesday, November 13th, in the JROTC hallway. If you're a senior interested in representing LHS and the Pioneer Battalion, don't miss this opportunity!
Wrestling Any student interested in wrestling, stop by Coach Erneste (219), Coach Engle (212), or Coach Bode's (250) rooms for information about wrestling and tryouts. You can do this before or after school, or during passing periods if you have time.
Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child is beginning soon! Last year, FCA packed 167 shoeboxes full of toys and essential items for kids in need across the globe. This year, donations will be accepted November 12th through the 19th! Suggested donations include small toys, personal care items, school supplies, and small games. Drop off your donations in the drop off location in front of the office on Mainstreet starting November 12th!
Culinary Meals Our Culinary Classes have teamed up with Kids Feeding Kids to provide free dinners for families in our district. Friday November 7th you can pick up a Free baked macaroni and cheese dinner right on Main Street after school until 4pm. All you have to do is stop by the posters posted in the security vestibule or on the main office door, scan the QR code and tell us what location you want to pick up from and the size of your family. Please sign up before the end of school day on Thursday.
Lunch Visits this Week Monday- US Army recruiter, Tuesday- Admissions Rep from the University of St. Mary, and Friday- Admissions Rep from the Park University. Stop by during your lunch to talk with a representative.
Boys Swim Team Meeting Attention all boys interested in the school swim team, there will be an informational meeting on Thursday in the Library classroom afterschool. Stop by for more information.
Graffiti Club The Graffiti Club will be delivering plushies this Friday, November 7th during Advisory. If you know you will be absent this Friday, please email Mr. Herron so we can better streamline our delivery process. Thank you to everyone who bought plushies. We appreciate your support!
Winter Sports Informational Assembly Tomorrow, Friday, November 7th, we'll be holding a Winter Sports Assembly during Advisory in the main gym. If you're interested in trying out or participating in a winter sport, this is your chance to meet the coaches and hear important information from our Athletic Director, Mr. Koontz. When announced, students interested in winter sports will be released to the gym. Mr. Koontz will start with some quick reminders about physicals and eligibility, followed by short breakout sessions with each sport's coach. You'll return to your Advisory class by the end of the period. We're excited to kick off the winter season—see you there!
JROTC Assembly Students, please utilize the form in your Google Classroom to vote for the teacher you would like to see perform in our upcoming JROTC assembly in December. Voting closes Friday, Nov. 14.
Senior - Yearbook Photos Seniors if you have not taken a photo in a graduation gown you need to do so today or tomorrow in room 205. Please come by room 205 to have your photo taken so it can be included in the yearbook this year.
